About me

Hello!
My name is Mark Conachen and I have been very passionate about video game creation ever since I was very young. There is not a genre of game that I dislike as I believe any game can break the mold and re-define an entire genre. I wanted to learn more about the process of game creation as I got older so I decided to delve deeper into it! I am currently an ATEC student at The University of Texas at Dallas specializing in Games and Animation.

I have been learning anything I can when it comes to the pipeline process of game creation from game design, modeling and texturing, level design, rigging, and more. The one field I am the most experienced in is project management and overall team communication. I enjoy most (but not all) aspects of game creation and would like to consider myself a jack-of-all-trades.

Why is any of this important?

I love to learn and adapt with whatever team I am currently working with, and trying to find in a sense, a puzzle to solve when it comes to that specific task. From the various projects and interactions with people I’ve had I believe it has made me better at communication, problem-solving, and the ability to grow.

I love learning new things, working on projects that feel fulfilling to work on, and growing as an individual.

Outside of games I enjoy watching shows, going to the gym, and trying new recipes in cooking!
